Blair County has 93 voting precincts, each of which is entitled to elect 2 committee persons to the Blair County Democratic Committee. Committee members are up for election every 4 years during the Primary election.
Committee members are responsible for contacting Democratic voters in their precinct, for helping to register voters, encourage voting, and representing their precinct in the County Committee.
The Chairperson has the authority to appoint committee members to empty positions. If you are interested in representing your precinct, check out our Committee Members page to see whether you live in an open precinct.
You don't have to be an official committee member to volunteer. We need help with everything from knocking on doors to data entry, from fundraising to letter-writing, and everything in between.
If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out our Getting to Know You form and tell us how you think you can be most helpful to our organization. There are so many ways to volunteer and we want to be sure to offer you volunteer opportunities that you can do and - insofar as it's possible - at the times you're best available to help.
We can't do what we do without your investments in the future of the Blair County Democratic Committee.
Through your financial support, we help provide local candidates with the campaign infrastructure and strategic help that they need to run quality, effective campaigns.
