PA Dems Chair Speaks at the annual fall banquet

Here is a picture of Jim Burn, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Democratic Committee.  The annual fall banquet was held Sunday, October 2nd at the Ramada Inn in Altoona. An enthusiastic crowd of about 100 was addressed by the Executive director of the PA Democratic Party.  He stressed the importance of getting out to vote, getting our message to the public and continuing to be proud members of the Democratic Party.  He spoke of the importance of selecting President Obama and how important Blair County is to the process.

 

Brian Stacey, a local teacher and band director at Glendale School District addressed the group about being selected to visit the White House for the President's Economic address.  He was the only music teacher from Pennsylvania to be chosen

Donna Gority, Blair County Commissioner was recognized for having served 28 years as Blair County Commissioner.  She received a plaque honoring her for her dedication and service to the citizens of Blair County.
