On Tuesday, November 4th beginning at 8PM all Democrats are invited to a FREE party at the Buccinese Club 614 8th Avenue, Altoona. Tickets are not necessary but we are limited to 125 people. Please call the Dem office 944-9924 and leave a message as to how many are attending with your group. (names too, so we don't double count)PS. Our office is open from 1-4 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday from 4-7 if you want to leave your count with a real person. |

Candidate takes to the trail. 9th District Democratic Candidate Tony Barr's schedule of events for the week ending 10/11. Saturday 10/4: Tony will attend the Franklin County Democratic Breakfast, in the morning a Cumberland County Democratic radio interview in Carlisle in the afternoon and canvass in Mifflintown, JuniataCounty. Monday 10/6: Tony will canvass in Altoona, BedfordCounty. Tuesday 10/07: Tony will attend a town hall Meeting in Waynesboro, FranklinCounty Wednesday 10/8: Tony will attend a function with the Juniata County Democratic Committee, JuniataCounty. Thursday 10/9: Tony will attend the Grand Opening of the Huntingdon County Democrats office and website launch party, HuntingdonCounty. Friday 10/10: Tony will attend The Cumberland County Democratic Committee Fall Dinner, CumberlandCounty. Saturday 10/11: Tony will attend the Bedford Fall Foliage Fest, Bedford County |

OnThursday, September 25 Valerie Biden Owens, Joe Biden's younger sister made a visit to the Obama Headquarters here in Altoona. Her knowledge, intelligence and speaking style make her a wonderful advote for her brother. She is friendly and approachable. Her message was that Barak and Joe will "have a bridge to Main Street, not a bridge to nowhere". She said that the Obama/Biden ticket makes the most sense for our country and we should work hard to help elect them. |

On Thursday, August 7th at 6PM the Altoona office for Barak Obama had its grand opening. The office is located at 1019 Logan Blvd, Altoona (almost across the blvd from Altoona Suzuki; it is at the end of the gray building complex called The Logan Center).
